About the author
Hi, I’m S.F.E. Holm! I live on the beautiful island of Tasmania, right near the end of the earth.
My background is actually in natural history illustration, though these days I’m more likely to be found wielding a sander or a paintbrush than a fine-tipped pen. I’ve been lovingly restoring our 1920s Federation-style bungalow—a project that requires tools a whole lot heavier than a laptop! The one exception to my illustration hiatus? Designing and drawing the cover for my book, The Glimmering.
When I'm not writing stories filled with adventure, secrets, and magic, I'm being a mum, trying my best not to accidentally kill my plants in the garden, or dreaming up my next project. Thank you so much for reading, and welcome to my world!
Thank you for reading The Glimmering
Bringing these characters and this atmospheric world to life has been an incredible journey, and I am so grateful to have shared it with you. As an independent author, my readers are everything to me.
If you enjoyed this mystery, liked the characters, or found yourself immersed in the atmosphere, please consider leaving an honest rating or review on Amazon or Goodreads.
Even a single sentence makes a massive difference! Reviews tell the online algorithms that a book is being read, which helps other mystery lovers discover The Glimmering.
Thank you so much for your support, your time, and for stepping into the world of the story with me.

Next Book Project - What The Tide Takes
In 1949, an artist paints a man lying dead on a beach. By morning, the storm has taken his body - and seventy years later, one woman is still hiding what happened that night.
In 2019, rebellious teenager Abby is exiled to a remote outback homestead to live with the legendary, sharp-tongued painter Sirene Elwood. In the cluttered, dusty halls of Fairlight, Abby discovers a trove of art-school journals from post-war Sydney, transporting her to a glittering, bohemian world of fierce ambition, passion - and a charismatic man named Thomas Munro...
